Welcome to Naturally Pilates!

I’m Kate, and I have been teaching Pilates for 17 years. I have a variety of Pilates teaching experience, including within the community, within a physiotherapy clinic, pre/post-natal, pre-professional dancers, gym/fitness, and in both group and individual settings. I’m an ex-professional dancer, and have been practicing Pilates myself for over 20 years, which has helped me personally throughout dance training, through rehabilitation after illness/surgery, and pre/postnatally as a mother keeping myself strong and active.

Pilates matwork is a mind-body exercise method that is accessible to almost everyone, regardless of age, gender or fitness. Pilates enables you to re-educate your body to develop new healthier ways of moving and long term learned muscle recruitment and alignment patterns to take with you into your everyday life. Regular Pilates practice can help to improve your breathing, posture, strength, flexibility, freedom of movement, co-ordination, muscle tone, prevent injury, decrease stress. Put simply, it makes you feel good!
